Powerful nose mostly carried on the peach where the grapefruit is rather discreet. Be patient… !
On the palate the peach flesh and grapefruit peel give a jam that “punches” in flavor and texture. The peach reigns in the foreground and the grapefruit takes its place at the end of the mouth and creates a harmony, sweet, acid and bitter. The finish is carried by subtle aromas of grapefruit while elegant and discreet!

Does Punch Spreads produce jams?
In everyday language, yes! However, on our labels, Canadian law requires us to use the term “spread”.
In Canada, the term “jam” is strictly regulated: it requires a minimum sugar content of 66%. At Punch, we believe that a good product doesn’t need to be loaded with sugar. Our organic spreads contain up to 48% less sugar (like our mango-orange flavor) than traditional jams. That’s why we’re not legally allowed to call them that.
It’s a modern irony: while public health authorities are encouraging us to reduce our sugar intake—and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is now scrutinizing products that are too high in sugar—an old law dating back to the 19th century forces us to add sugar if we want to use the word “jam.” Back then, sugar was expensive, and this law protected consumers from fraud. Today, sugar is cheap and overused.
